How It Works
Unlike traditional demolition methods that apply force externally, this system takes advantage of the lower tensile strength of rock and concrete.
A hole is drilled into the material, and the splitter is inserted and aligned. Hydraulic pressure drives a central wedge between two counter wedges, forcing them apart. This creates an internal force that splits the material cleanly and efficiently.
The result is controlled cracking with minimal disruption, making it ideal for precision demolition and extraction work.
Applications
- Rock and concrete demolition
- Block extraction (granite, marble and natural stone)
- Secondary breaking of boulders
- Tunnel construction and underground works
- Pipe jacking and trenching
- Confined and sensitive environments
